Confirming the leaks just hours before the Microsoft Surface event, Microsoft launched the event with the announcement of the Surface Pro 6, an update of the company’s hybrid laptop/tablet, available in a new matte black color and an Intel 8th generation processor upgraded. It weighs 1.7 kg and offers a range of up to 13.5 hours.
Also available in matte black, Microsoft unveiled the second-generation Laptop Surface, an update of the original device from last year. The Surface Laptop 2 retains the Alcantara fabric keypad protection and features a 13.5-inch display, a quad-core 8th generation processor and up to 14.5 hours of battery life.

Surface Studio 2
In addition to these updates, Microsoft unveiled the new Surface Studio 2, its creative-based device that has not been upgraded since its December 2016 release. Surface Studio 2 features a 28-inch display with graphical performance improved by 50%. The look and feel are essentially identical to that of its predecessor, with a hinge that converts the screen to a vertical or flat position. The Xbox Wireless is also integrated and will be compatible with the Surface Dial, although there is no new version of this accessory.
Surface Studio 2 also begins pre-ordering today from $ 3,499 and will be shipped on October 16.
The Surface headphones with integrated Cortana is new in the Surface range. It’s a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones and the volume and noise reduction dial is built into the cups. It also has an automatic pause and play that stops the audio when the headphones are removed from the ears. The headphones weigh 0.64 lbs, have a range of up to 15 hours and are light gray in color. They charge by USB-C in about two hours.
Like other products announced today, headphones go pre-order today for $ 349. Microsoft did not confirm a specific shipping date but said they would arrive in the United States and the UK in time for the holidays.
Surface All Access
Like the Xbox, the Surface Series will also benefit from an All Access program allowing customers to combine a Surface device with accessories and Office 365 for $ 24.99 per month for two years. The price will obviously vary depending on the device you plan to buy, but Windows users will more easily get the device and programs they plan to use and pay back in installments. According to Microsoft, Surface All Access will only be available in the United States.
Microsoft App Mirroring on Windows 10
After abandoning Windows Phone efforts, Microsoft seems to bridge the gap between its PC and its mobile operating system with a new application mirroring feature that allows users to convert their Android screen to a Windows 10 device. The feature is inside an application Your phone, which allows you to select an application from your smartphone to use on a Windows 10 desktop. You can also associate it and browse the file types to drag them into the PC.
Microsoft says this feature will be available for Android and iOS. It comes with the Windows 10 October update, which arrives today.
